PLAN’s First Five Years Celebration
A huge THANK YOU to all of you who supported PLAN’s First Five Years Celebration December 4, 2008. It was a wonderful tribute to the leaders and allies who make our work possible, and to you, our supporters. Many thanks also to Youssef Sawan, who generously volunteered his photography services to document this amazing event! View pictures from the event. |
Our Programs
PLAN builds bridges between parent-based groups,
allied coalitions, and policy organizations that span multiple
issues, county lines, language, and culture. PLAN supports
and galvanizes low-income parents to act as a powerful counterweight
in a society that increasingly puts their needs at the bottom
of the priority list.
PLAN provides Bay Area parents and parent organizations
with opportunities to:
- Build relationships with other
parents and organizations
- Network with peers and build
alliances
- Develop leadership and advocacy
skills
- Exchange information and strategies
- Take action on common concern
