Bay Area Parent Leadership Action Network believes that every child deserves an excellent education. Parents play a critical role. Every day, we train and organize parents to be leaders in their children’s education, because it takes engaged parents to turn struggling schools into thriving schools.
Our public schools are in crisis, and students of color are suffering the consequences. The good news is that parents can make a difference. Research shows that schools improve when parents are engaged and apply constructive pressure for change.
By supporting parents to develop their skills, knowledge and confidence to be leaders in their children’s education, Parent Leadership Action Network is working to ensure that every student has the opportunity to graduate from high school prepared to be successful in college, career, and life.
