MEMBERSHIP ORIENTATION MEETINGS

New PLAN members individuals interested in joining PLAN are invited to a series of thee Orientation Meetings. The next meetings will be held on September 15, 22 & 29.

The meetings will provide:

• An introduction to PLAN's work, including our Fall 2010 Campaign
• An overview of social movements, civil rights and parent leadership in education
• Opportunities to develop new leadership and organizing skills
• A chance to meet other parent leaders interested in educational justice

Meetings will be held from 6 - 8 PM at the PLAN Conference Room in downtown Oakland (405 14th Street, 2nd Floor). For more information contact PLAN at 510-444-7526 or via email.

PLAN is preparing to launch our 2010-2011 PLAN to LEAD Training of Trainers program. Organizations interested in participating must send a key program staff member to one of the info sessions listed above.
